The 14th Annual PACHANGA will be located on Maxan Street in downtown Port Isabel. 2 1/2 blocks will be shut down for vendors, entertainment and pedestrian traffic. Nearly 48 vendor and food truck spaces will offer food, activities, arts & crafts and more. The intersections at Manautou and Longoria Streets will feature live music throughout the event.

Established in 2011, Pachanga in the Park (in Washington Park) was a community celebration created to feature family fun, local food and local music. With about 30 vendors, attendees found a variety of locally prepared dishes largely influenced by the state of Durango. Rides and games kept kids of all ages entertained. Contests including a best tasting chalupa, grito, jalapeno eating, group performances and a costume contests gave participants a chance at a cash prize. Pachanga was a one-day event.
The event drew attendees from the neighborhood and visitors from out of the area. Within a couple of years Pachanga outgrew Washington Park and was eventually relocated to Laguna Madre Park on Port Road in 2017. The new location offered more vendor space and more parking. In 2022, the event grew to a two day event with more live music and more vendors. 2023 again brought growth to the event with bigger bands and the expansion of vendor space and the addition of food trucks and longer hours.
While improvements were made to Laguna Madre Park in 2024, the event took a hiatus. In 2025, Pachanga in the Park was once again relocated to 2nd Street.
In 2026, Pachanga on Maxan Street will come to downtown Port Isabel. The event will close eight days of community events and festivities celebrating Queen Isabella Days.
